Privacy Policy
Effective 6 November 2026
Halisms is a one-person graphic design practice run by Hal Morris in Greenville, South Carolina. This page explains what this site collects, why, and how long it's kept. It's short because the site does very little.
What's collected
Only what you send. The contact form asks for your name, email address, and message. You can also email hello@halisms.com directly, in which case your address and whatever you write are collected the same way.
There are no accounts, no logins, no newsletter, and no payments taken on this site.
Scope
Work files and invoices exchanged during a project are handled under the project agreement, not this policy.
Why
To read your inquiry and reply to it. That's the only purpose. Nothing collected here is used for advertising or profiling.
Who handles it
Adobe Portfolio hosts the site.
Adobe Portfolio's form system relays each submission as an email. Submissions are not stored in an inbox on the site itself.
Zoho Mail hosts hello@halisms.com and holds the resulting email.
These are the only parties involved. No one else receives your data.
Cookies
This site sets no tracking or advertising cookies. The host may set cookies needed for the site to function.

How long it's kept
Inquiries are deleted on a twice-yearly sweep: January–June inquiries on 31 December, July–December inquiries on 30 June. Nothing is swept within 90 days of final payment or last contact, and nothing is swept while a project or invoice is open. Spam is cleared as it arrives.
In practice that means a non-client inquiry lives between six and twelve months.
Sharing
Your details are never sold, rented, or shared for anyone else's marketing. They go to the services above and nowhere else, except where legally required.
Your access and deletion
Email hello@halisms.com and ask. You'll get a copy of anything held, or have it deleted, within 30 days. Deletion runs ahead of the sweep schedule on request.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS and mail sits with a commercial provider. Nothing here is a records system, so avoid sending anything confidential through the form.

Children
The site isn't directed at children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect from them.
Visitors outside the US
If you're in the EU or UK, submitting the form is the basis for processing your details, and the access and deletion rights above apply to you regardless of where you're writing from. Mail is held on servers in US. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
If this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it. Substantive changes get noted on this page rather than applied silently.
